The Anti-Drug Committee of the Uttaranchal School of Hotel and Hospitality Management (USHHM), Uttaranchal University, organized an awareness session on “Substance Free Living: Building Drug-Free Campus Together” on 19 August 2026 at the Seminar Hall, USHHM. The 90-minute program focused on creating awareness about the importance of maintaining a substance-free lifestyle and strengthening collective efforts towards a drug-free campus.
The session was led by Dr. Shradha Bisht, who addressed the theme of substance-free living and the role of students and the wider campus community in promoting a healthy and responsible environment. The program aimed to encourage informed decision-making and reinforce the importance of staying away from substance abuse and its associated risks.
As part of the initiative, an Awareness Session was conducted to highlight the significance of prevention, awareness, and personal responsibility in addressing substance-related concerns. The program also included an E-Pledge, providing participants with an opportunity to affirm their commitment towards supporting a substance-free campus and contributing to a healthier community.
The initiative reflects the Anti-Drug Committee’s continued focus on awareness and preventive education among students. Building a drug-free campus requires collective participation, open dialogue, and a sustained commitment to healthy choices. Such programs provide an important platform for students to understand their role in creating a safe and supportive academic environment.
Through the session, USHHM reinforced its commitment to promoting responsible lifestyles and strengthening awareness against substance abuse. The program served as an important step towards encouraging students to make informed choices and contribute actively to the vision of a healthier, safer, and drug-free campus.
