The Alumni Cell, Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM), Uttaranchal University, hosted an alumni interaction session titled “Dream, Learn, Lead: Connect, Inspire, Succeed” on 14 August 2026 at the UIM Seminar Hall, uniting industry experience with alumni insight for the benefit of students.
The proceedings commenced with a gracious welcome to the guests and the University Kulgeet, followed by the presentation of saplings and mementos to the speakers by Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM.
The first speaker, Mr. Tanuj Jauhari, an alumnus with an MBA in Human Resource and Finance and over nine years' experience across HR, talent acquisition and employee engagement — including tenures at HDFC Bank and Orion Edutech, and presently HR Executive at Amato Automotive Pvt. Ltd. — offered incisive perspectives on HR processes, industry expectations, skill development and certifications, and the transformative influence of AI-driven automation across sectors.
The second speaker, Mr. Ritesh Bhatt, an MBA Gold Medalist from UIM's 2019–21 batch, former President of the Sports Club, and currently Branch Manager at Sundaram Asset Management Company Limited, drew upon his experience at ICICI Prudential Asset Management and UTI Mutual Fund to illuminate career pathways in wealth management and mutual funds, underscoring the value of NISM certifications, internships and sustained industry exposure.
The discourse extended to the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence in the workplace, with Prof. Suri observing that technological advancement reshapes roles rather than eliminating them, rendering continuous learning indispensable.
In his vote of thanks, Prof. Suri emphasized the pivotal role of alumni in reinforcing the institution's stature, urging students to cultivate their skills, pursue relevant certifications, and remain purposefully prepared for the future.
