The Globe Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM), Uttaranchal University, successfully organised a Shiksha Daan Drive as part of its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. The drive was conducted every Saturday from February 2026 to May 2026 at Rajkita Purv Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Panditwari with the aim of supporting the educational needs of students from underprivileged backgrounds and promoting the spirit of knowledge sharing.


Throughout the activity, a series of interactive and educational sessions were organised to enhance students’ awareness and learning. The sessions covered important topics such as responsible use of mobile phones, disaster awareness and preparedness, and basic concepts of business along with the role of communication in everyday life.


In addition, engaging activities were conducted focusing on environmental awareness, pollution, basic mathematics concepts, and creative learning through drawing. These modules were designed to make learning enjoyable and interactive while encouraging students to think critically about their surroundings and their responsibilities toward the environment.


The activity was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, and Prof. Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM, whose mentorship ensured smooth planning and execution. It was coordinated by Mr. Rohit Dhiman Head-Globe Club UIM. The drive was supported by Mr. Vinayak Sharma Swami, President of Jai Youth Wing, and the cooperation of the school principal.


Student volunteers including Chirag Malhotra, Harmeet Singh Kalra, Sangita Kumari, Anamika Katariya, Yatharth, Grishka, Aleena Khan, Tanisha Verma, Srishti, Vishal Kumar Singh, Minal Kaushik, Animesh Aman, and Yusuf Khair, BBA students actively contributed to the sessions. Their involvement helped create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.


The Shiksha Daan Drive significantly contributed to the academic growth of school students while fostering empathy, leadership, and social responsibility among volunteers, making it a meaningful initiative toward community development.
