Law College Dehradun organized a “Contract Drafting Workshop & Competition” on 16th April 2026, under the aegis of the Training & Recruitment Division in collaboration with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Center. The event was moderated by Ms. Manvi Kharola and Ms. Avni Choudhary, executive members, TRD. The workshop was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna (Pro Vice-Chancellor, Uttaranchal University; Dean, Law College Dehradun); Prof. (Dr.) Radhey Shyam Jha (Head of Department, Law College Dehradun); and Ms. Purnima Tyagi (Faculty In-charge, TRD). The resource persons for the day, Dr. Aman Rab (Partner, Rab & Rab Associates LLP) and Ms. Payal B. Mohanty (Associate, Rab & Rab Associates LLP), captivated the participants through their insightful and enriching technical sessions.
Dr. Aman Rab, in his session, emphasized the fundamental principles of contract drafting and the necessity of precision in legal practice, whereas Ms. Payal B. Mohanty provided practical insights into structuring contracts and advanced drafting techniques. Following the modules, the Contract Drafting Competition was conducted to assess the participants' understanding and application of the concepts learned.
The valedictory ceremony of the event was conducted on 14 May 2026, under the august presence of Dr. Abhishek Joshi, Executive Director, Students Affairs & IT Services, and Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro V.C. and Dean, Law College, Dehradun.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Garima Singh Rana, Secretary Administration, TRD and the participation certificates were distributed to all attendees by Ms. Purnima Tyagi and by Ms. Payal B. Mohanty.
