UIT Celebrates Heritage through "Sanskriti Frames" Video Competition DEHRADUN, April 17, 2026—The Cultural Committee of UIT hosted “Sanskriti Frames,” a dynamic short video competition designed to bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and modern digital storytelling. Held at the UIT Seminar Hall, the event challenged students to creatively interpret the essence of Indian traditional knowledge, indigenous practices, and cultural heritage.

The ceremony commenced with the soul-stirring notes of the Kulgeet and a traditional lamp lighting. In a gesture toward sustainability, Assistant Professor Dr. Ram Narayan presented a sapling to the director, Prof. (Dr.) Sumit Chaudhary. This spirit of growth was further echoed by Assistant Professors Ms. Navjyoti Aggarwal and Ms. Priyanka Suyal, who encouraged participants to use technology as a vessel for tradition. An insightful keynote presentation by third-year students Diya Srivastav and Ankur Verma set the stage for the day’s screenings.

Students from across departments showcased videos that blended innovation with deep cultural roots. The winning team, Shashwat Mishra, S. Pujith Amar, Sneha Sree Bhimini, and Jallireddy Praneetha, captivated the judges with their exceptional narrative and technical execution.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Nandini Prajapati. Ultimately, "Sanskriti Frames" succeeded in fostering a profound sense of cultural pride, proving that India’s ancient wisdom remains vibrantly relevant in the digital age.
