Uttaranchal College of Nursing organized the celebration of International Nurses Day 2026 on 12 May 2026 with great enthusiasm and dedication. The program was conducted under the supervision and guidance of Prof. Midhu Kurian on the theme, “Our Nurses, Our Future: Empowered Nurses Save Lives.” The event aimed to recognize the invaluable contribution of nurses to healthcare and to inspire nursing students toward compassionate and professional practice.
The celebration was graced by Ms. Priyanka Chaudhary as the Chief Guest for the occasion. While addressing the students, she emphasized the importance of kindness, empathy, and professional knowledge in the nursing profession. She encouraged the budding nurses to serve society with dedication, confidence, and humanity.
The students actively participated in the event and showcased their talents through role plays based on the theme, highlighting the significant role of empowered nurses in saving lives and strengthening healthcare systems. Cultural performances, including dance presentations, added enthusiasm and vibrancy to the celebration and were appreciated by the audience.
The event concluded on a grateful note with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Jagrity, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest, faculty members, organizers, and students for making the program successful and memorable.
