On 22nd April 2026, the Media Club of School of Liberal Arts, Uttaranchal University, successfully organized a workshop titled “Mastering Photography Using Adobe Photoshop.” The session was conducted with the objective of enhancing students’ practical understanding of digital image editing and equipping them with essential skills relevant to the media and creative industries.
The session was conducted by Mr. Pankaj Purohit, Video Editing and Graphic Designing Expert/Trainer from AdXventure Company, Dehradun, whose industry expertise and interactive approach made the session highly engaging and insightful. The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Reeta Rautela, HOD, School of Liberal Arts along with all the members of faculty. The workshop began with an introduction to the fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop, where the resource person familiarized the participants with the interface, essential tools, and basic editing techniques. A significant part of the session focused on color theory, importance of image resolution and size, helping students understand how these technical aspects influence the clarity, quality, and professional output of digital visuals.
The workshop also provided practical insights into image editing and manipulation techniques, including methods to enhance facial features, refine expressions, and improve overall image aesthetics. The workshop concluded with a lively and engaging riddle session, where participants enthusiastically attempted to solve creative questions posed by the resource person. Students who answered correctly were appreciated with small gifts brought by the resource person, which served as an incentive and further encouraged active participation.
The Media Club continues to organize such initiatives to provide students with practical exposure and industry-oriented learning opportunities, contributing to their overall academic and professional development. The workshop was coordinated by Ms. Priyam Agarwal, Media Club Coordinator, School of Liberal Arts.
