Uttaranchal University, through its School of Liberal Arts, successfully organized a two-day International Conference titled “From Vedic Wisdom to Technological Advancement for Viksit Bharat @ 2047: A Global Perspective for Psychological Excellence and Sustainable Development” on March 26–27, 2026, in collaboration with the ACIC Foundation and Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). The conference witnessed the presence of eminent dignitaries including Prof. (Dr.) Kartikey Gaur, Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Lt. Gen. A.K. Singh, and Swami Brahmdev during the inaugural session, along with the release of the conference book.
The academic sessions featured renowned experts such as Dr. Geeta Rani, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Gupta, Dr. Jwalant Bhavsar, and moderator Mr. Mohit Chandra in the panel discussion on scientific spirituality, followed by Symposium I with Prof. Sanjit K. Mishra and Dr. Romasa Shukla, moderated by Dr. Rati Sood. Day 2 included an invited talk by Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Singh, and Prof. (Dr.) Raghav Mehra, and Symposium II with distinguished speakers including Mr. Cameron Hogg, Dr. Vaidya Rajesh Kapoor, Swami (Dr.) Parmarth, His Grace Purujit Dasa, Dr. Isha Ahuja Batra, Dr. Darlene Genizera-Pajarito, and Swamini Triyambakeshwari, chaired by Prof. Prakash Joshi. The conference also included cultural programs and multiple technical sessions covering themes such as mental health, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and indigenous practices.
Towards the end, the Coordinator of the Centre for IKS, Prof. (Dr.) Reeta Rautela, delivered the vote of thanks. Additionally, Jageshwar Ray presented a detailed report of the conference, highlighting the various academic and deliberative sessions conducted over the two days. Finally, the Organizing Secretary, Ashutosh Sharma, delivered the concluding vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the guests and participants. The event concluded with a valedictory session featuring report presentation, participant reflections, and award distribution, successfully reinforcing the importance of integrating traditional Indian knowledge with modern innovations to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
