The workshop titled “Decoding Digital Distraction: Pause the Scroll, Reclaim Your Focus” was jointly organized by the Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), Uttaranchal University, and the Psychological Counselling Cell (PCC), School of Liberal Arts on 18th March 2026 in the Seminar Hall, SLA. The event aimed to address the growing concern of digital dependency among students and its impact on mental well-being.
The session commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by the Kulgeet. The program was graced by respected dignitaries including Prof. (Dr.) Kartikey Gaur, Director, SLA, and Prof. (Dr.) Reeta Rautela, HOD, SLA & Coordinator- Centre for IKS.
The workshop featured an engaging session by Mr. Anand Nartak Dasa, Youth Guide at ISKCON Bangalore, who shared valuable insights on managing digital habits through a blend of practical strategies and reflective understanding. Drawing from both his corporate experience and spiritual perspective, he emphasized the importance of balance, self-awareness, and mindful engagement with technology.
The session included interactive discussions and reflective activities, encouraging active participation from students. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks and a resolution by all to pause, reflect and consciously manage technology. The event was duly coordinated by Ms Shrestha Sen, Assistant Professor, SLA.
