Law College Dehradun organized National Elocution Competition 6.0 through online mode, on the topic “Constitutionality of Article 48A and 51A(g) governing Environmental Consciousness” on 25 February 2026, under the aegis of Vasundhara – The Green Society.  


The event kicked off with the opening remarks from Ms. Kritika Bhandari, Executive Member of Vasundhara – The Green Society. She set an inspiring tone with the quote: "A constitution that protects forests and rivers is not merely a legal document; it is a moral promise to future generations." This was followed by introductory notes from Miss Khushi Bansal, General Secretary, who highlighted the competition as a flagship initiative since 2020, recapping past themes. Prof. Dr. Rajesh Bahuguna, Dean of Law College Dehradun, Pro Vice Chancellor of Uttaranchal University, and Patron in Chief delivered a keynote address urging students to view environmental protection as a grassroot responsibility beyond legal text. The Esteemed Panel of Judges were Shri Pramod Kumar Goel, Former Principal District and Sessions Judge of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Tanushri Sarkar, Professor in the Law Department at Sai Nath University, Ranch. Ms. Madhu Sharma, Executive Member, briefed participants on the rules and guidelines.  


Prof. (D.Dr.) Lakshmi Priya Vinjamuri, Chairperson, VTGS, thanked the judges, participants, organizers, and audience. She emphasized on the grassroots implementation of Articles 48A & 51A(g) for true environmental sustainability. 


The winners of the competition were: Ms. Vidhi Rathore from Banasthali Vidyapeeth Univeristy and Runner up was Ms. Divya Pandey from Amity University, Kolkata. 


The event was a resounding success, fostering constitutional discourse on ecological duty.
