The Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Uttaranchal University, successfully organized an industrial visit to Tirupati Lifesciences Limited on 23rd February 2026 as part of its academic learning program. The primary objective of the visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industrial exposure, enabling students to understand real-time pharmaceutical manufacturing practices and quality control systems.
During the visit, students were introduced to various departments, including Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Packaging, Warehousing, and Research & Development. The industrial experts explained the step-by-step manufacturing process of nutraceutical products, starting from raw material procurement and testing to granulation, blending, compression, encapsulation, coating, and final packaging. Students gained insights into in-process quality checks, documentation procedures, labeling standards, and storage conditions required to maintain product stability.
A memorable part of the industrial visit was a technical session delivered by Abhinav Sir (HR), who shared valuable insights about industry expectations, professional ethics, workplace discipline, and career opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector. He also guided students on skill development and industry readiness. This was followed by a detailed demonstration and guided tour of the Production and Packaging Departments conducted by Executive Pankaj Chauhan Sir. He provided in-depth information about nutraceuticals, explained different manufacturing techniques, showcased advanced machinery used in production lines, and elaborated on various primary and secondary packaging materials such as blister packs, HDPE bottles, strip packaging, and labeling systems.
The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Honourable President Shri Jitendra Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, and Director of UIPS, Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, for their constant encouragement and for making the organization of the visit possible.
The industrial visit was efficiently coordinated by Mrs. Deepika and Mr. Ashish Singh Chauhan, Assistant Professors, UIPS, Uttaranchal University, whose guidance and efforts ensured the smooth execution of the program.
