Law College Dehradun, in collaboration with the Pro Bono Club, successfully conducted the Final Round and Valedictory Ceremony of the 5th Intra-Collegiate Quiz Competition on Constitutional Law on 3 December 2025. The session was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Uttaranchal University and Dean, Law College Dehradun; Prof. (Dr.) Radhey Shyam Jha, Head of Department; Mr. Vatsal Chaudhary, Chairperson, Legal Aid Centre; Dr. Abhiranjan Dixit, Faculty-in-Charge, Pro Bono Club, along with other respected faculty members of the Law Department.
The programme commenced with the Lamp Lighting Ceremony, followed by the Kulgeet, signifying unity and reverence. Six teams competed in the Final Round, which consisted of the High Five Round, the Guess Who Round, and the Final Showdown Buzzer Round. Each round assessed accuracy, promptness, presence of mind, and depth of constitutional understanding, creating an atmosphere of lively intellectual competition.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna commended the efforts of the Legal Aid Centre and Pro Bono Club and encouraged the introduction of innovative academic initiatives such as weekly leaderboard and essay competitions. A tie for the runner-up position resulted in a tiebreaker consisting of four questions. Ultimately, Team TC-10 (Ankit Maithani and Sunidhi Rawat) emerged as Winners; Team TC-26 (Tanya Sharma and Yoshita Sangal) secured first runner-up; and Team TC-3 (Garima Tiwari and Anushka Singh) secured second runner-up. All winners received cash prizes and certificates of merit.
Special awards were also presented: the Lex Prodigy Award to Sakshi Rana (TC-13) and the Rising Star Awards to Sunidhi Rawat, Sudhanshu Gaur, and Vidhi Panwar. The ceremony concluded with a group photograph and a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Gargi Pant, followed by the National Anthem, marking the end of an enriching and intellectually stimulating event.
