Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, proudly celebrated the annual cultural fest-FESTLA 7.0 on 14th November 2025. The campus came alive with color, creativity, performances and enthusiastic participation from students across more than 80 Universities, Colleges and Schools making it a memorable event.
FESTLA 7.0 began with great enthusiasm starting with the introduction of the event and the welcome of guests and dignitaries. A series of floral welcomes were extended by Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, to the distinguished dignitaries, Shri Jitendra Joshi, President, Uttaranchal University; Smt. Anuradha Joshi Ji, Vice Chairperson, Sushila Devi Centre for Professional Studies and Research; Ms. Ankita Joshi, Vice President, UU; Prof. (Dr.) Abhishek Joshi, Director of Student Affairs & IT; Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor; and Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro-Vice Chancellor. The ceremony was marked by the uplifting Balloon Releasing Ceremony, followed by a soulful Ganesh Vandana and the motivating speech from the dignitaries.
After the inauguration, dignitaries visited the UIM department, where academic competitions such as Portfolio King, Digital Ad Making, Brand Storming, and the Debate Competition showcased students’ creativity and intellect. The afternoon featured a vibrant lineup of cultural performances by participants from UIM, SLA, Doon University, Graphic Era University, Graphic Era Hill University, and LCD. Spectators enjoyed soulful singing and captivating group dances across folk, western, and fusion genres.
The evening segment opened with melodious singing and a beautifully choreographed Maa Durga Act, followed by energetic duo and group dance performances. A major highlight was the Fashion Show, where students displayed creativity and confidence through themed costumes, turning the stage into a stunning runway. The event concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, celebrating winners across categories.
FESTLA 7.0 stood as a testament to creative expression, teamwork, and cultural unity. The event’s success reflected the collective efforts of the entire organizing committee, setting new benchmarks of creativity, unity, and cultural excellence at Uttaranchal University.
