The Globe Club of
Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, organised Ek
Kapda Daan on 14 November 2025 as a thoughtful social outreach programme
dedicated to supporting underprivileged communities. The initiative sought to
spread warmth, care, and dignity by distributing winter essentials and food
packets, reflecting a spirit of empathy and shared responsibility. The activity
reinforced the institution’s commitment to nurturing socially responsible and
compassionate citizens.
The programme was
honoured by the presence of the Honourable President, Shri Jitendra Joshi Ji,
whose encouragement greatly enriched the occasion. He appreciated the sincere
efforts of the Globe Club and student volunteers in contributing meaningfully
to community welfare and fostering a culture of service within the University.
The event was
organised under the guidance of Prof. (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, and Dr
Tilottama Singh, HoD, UIM. Their constant support and leadership ensured
seamless coordination and purposeful execution of the programme. Through the
distribution of blankets, clothes, and food packets, the initiative extended
much-needed comfort and support, making the experience rewarding for both the
recipients and the volunteers involved.
The activity was
effectively coordinated by Mr Rohit Dhiman, Head, Globe Club, and Ms Shivani
Jugran, with commendable support from student coordinators Chirag Malhotra and
Harmeet Singh Kalra. The enthusiastic participation of student volunteers
played a vital role in the smooth conduct of the programme and reflected strong
teamwork and dedication.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the organising team, expressing heartfelt appreciation to the Honourable President, faculty members, student coordinators, and volunteers for their guidance, cooperation, and collective efforts in making Ek Kapda Daan a meaningful and impactful social initiative.
