The Intra University Athletic Meet was organised under the aegis of the School of Agriculture, Uttaranchal University, on 28th and 29th November with great enthusiasm. The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice President Ms. Ankita Joshi, along with Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna. Teams from all schools participated in various event categories.
Uttaranchal Institute of Technology stood first with the highest number of medals, followed by Uttaranchal Institute of Management as first runner-up and Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences as second runner-up. Mr. Dhruv Kashyap of Law College, Dehradun, and Ms. Himanshi from Uttaranchal Institute of Management were declared Best Athletes in the male and female categories, respectively.
The prize distribution was conducted by Hon’ble President, Uttaranchal University, Shri Jitendra Joshi. Chairperson of the University Sports Committee, Prof. (Dr.) Sharad Pandey, all faculty sports coordinators from different schools, University Sports Coordinator Mr. Shiva Malik, and many students were present on the occasion.
