As part of the Independence Day Social Awareness Programme, the B.Sc. Nursing students of the 7th, 5th, and 3rd semesters of Uttaranchal College of Nursing organized a health education session at Government Middle School, Aam Wala, Saha Spur, Dehradun, on 15th August 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
The session focused on the importance of vitamins and healthy eating habits. Using charts, posters, and interactive discussions, the nursing students educated the school children on the types, functions, and sources of vitamins, while also sharing practical tips for maintaining a balanced diet. This participatory approach generated curiosity and encouraged the children to ask questions, ensuring better understanding and active engagement.
The programme was highly appreciated by the school authorities and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students. The initiative not only promoted nutritional awareness and healthy lifestyle practices among school children but also strengthened the communication and health education skills of the nursing students.
