Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Uttaranchal University, celebrated World Pharmacists' Day on September 25, 2025, by organizing an Outreach Program at Jeevan Rakshak, Drug De-Addiction Centre, near FRI, Dehradun. The event was coordinated by Mr. Abhishek Singh and Mr. Ashish Singh Chauhan, Assistant Professors, UIPS, along with student volunteers.
The program featured informative talks on safe medicine use, lifestyle modifications, and the risks of substance abuse, aimed at raising awareness among the participants. A Drug De-Addiction Pledge was also administered, motivating individuals to stay away from drugs and remain committed to their recovery journey. The initiative was appreciated by the Centre, recognizing UIPS’s role in promoting health and rehabilitation awareness.
