The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, organized an industrial visit to OLF Dehradun on September 9, 2025. Industrial visits play a vital role in strengthening the industry-academia bond, shaping students into future-ready engineers by providing practical exposure to real-world manufacturing processes and bridging the gap between theory and practice.
During the visit, students explored various stages of manufacturing including production, assembly, and testing where classroom learning came alive. They also gained hands-on exposure to the MCP section, CNC, milling section, CMM, and the fundamentals of preparing engineering drawings.
Special appreciation was extended to Prof. (Dr.) Sumit Chaudhary, Director-UIT for his invaluable support and guidance throughout the visit. We also extend our gratitude to Rajpal Singh JWM (SG)/HRD and Mr. Gaurav Jakhpal (JWM) for sharing their valuable insights. Under the guidance of Dr.Jaspreet Hira, HoD-ME, the visit was successfully organized by Dr. Yashwant Singh Bisht, Assistant Professor (ME) & Mr. Vivek John, Assistant Professor (ME).
