On 10th September 2025, a grand program was organized on the occasion of the 138th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Ji at the IRD Auditorium, Survey Chowk, Dehradun. The event was hosted by the Bharat Ratna Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Janmotsav Samiti, Dehradun, in collaboration with Himalayan Abhyuday Samajik Sansthan, Dehradun, with special support from the Department of Sanskrit, Uttarakhand. The program commenced with the ceremonial inauguration at 11:30 AM with tributes to Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Ji, remembering his unparalleled contributions to India’s freedom struggle and nation-building.
Each distinguished guest addressed the gathering and shared their valuable insights. Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat highlighted Pandit Pant Ji’s role in shaping modern India and emphasized the importance of carrying forward his ideals of education, health, and social reforms. Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' reflected on Pant Ji’s political vision and his contribution to strengthening democracy and national integration. Shri Saurabh Thapliyal stressed the relevance of Pandit Pant Ji’s philosophy in contemporary governance and society. Prof. Naveen Chandra Lohan delivered the keynote address, focusing on the educational philosophies and leadership qualities of Pant Ji. Ms. Ankita Joshi spoke about the role of youth in nation-building and how the values of leaders like Pant Ji should inspire students in their personal and professional lives.
The Mass Communication students of the School of Liberal Arts, Uttaranchal University, visited the event as part of their academic learning, gaining valuable exposure to public events, guest lectures, and cultural insights. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries, organizers, and participants for making the celebration a grand success.
