The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology organised an Industrial Visit to Sara Sae Pvt. Ltd., Selaqui, Dehradun.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Uttaranchal University, organised an industrial visit on 29 August 2025 to Sara Sae Private Limited, Selaqui, Dehradun, which is one of the prominent manufacturers of a diverse range of oilfield equipment in its manufacturing facility in India, using the latest design techniques and CNC machines. The products are available through distributors worldwide, including Sara's subsidiary company (STS Products, Inc.) in Houston and various Sara locations. 

This visit aimed to provide students with practical insights into the world of high-pressure equipment, their engineering, and the technology related to the manufacturing of such components. 

Throughout the visit, students were guided through the production facility consisting of manual machining, CNC machining, and BOP accumulator units, along with other sections of the plant. The visit was supervised by Mr D. V. Singh, General Manager, HR & Administration (Corporate). Students also learned about multi-axis CNC lathe and milling operations, automation, assembly, testing lab, and CNC machines. The students took a keen interest in understanding the manufacturing and related processes. 

The industrial visit to Sara Sae Private Limited, Selaqui, Dehradun, was an enriching experience for all participants. 

Prof (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT, appreciated the members of the faculty for executing the visit and emphasised that such industrial visits should be encouraged as they provide exposure to the latest technologies used by industry. The visit was held under the supervision of Dr Jaspreet Singh Hira, HoD, Mechanical Engineering. The students were accompanied by faculty members of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Dr Ruby Pant, Associate Professor, ME and Mr Saurabh Aggarwal, Assistant Professor, ME.
