The School of Applied and Life Sciences (SALS) organised a technical session on library resources and their effective utilisation on 22 August 2025 as part of the ongoing orientation programme. Dr Ramveer Tanwar, University Librarian, Uttaranchal University, acted as the resource person for the session. All first-year students of undergraduate and postgraduate courses actively participated in the event.
This session provided information about the different library resources available, including books, journals, magazines, and e-resources. Through a demonstration, students were informed about how to register for and utilise these resources. Alongside this, students were also made aware of the rules and regulations and other necessary information pertaining to library use.
Another important aspect of the session was how students can access and utilise library resources for research purposes. The session proved very successful, providing all the necessary information about the library which will assist students throughout their respective academic programmes.
The session was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Prof Ajay Singh, Director, SALS, and was coordinated by Prof Nishesh Sharma.
