The Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS) organised a Faculty Orientation Programme on 29 July 2025 for its newly joined faculty members, focusing on “Towards a Quality-Centric Academic Environment.” The objective of the event was to acquaint the new faculty with the institution’s vision, mission, and core values, while promoting an understanding of quality-driven academic practices.
The session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Director, USCS, who elaborated on the institution’s vision and mission and highlighted its commitment to fostering academic excellence, innovation, and student-centric learning.
Prof. Monisha Awasthi, Coordinator – DIQAC-USCS, emphasised the importance of quality assurance and continuous academic improvement. Mr. Praveen Shah outlined the examination and evaluation scheme and introduced the ERP functionalities supporting academic operations.
During the programme, the newly joined faculty members were formally introduced, providing an opportunity for them to share their academic backgrounds and aspirations, thereby fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration within the USCS community.
The programme was coordinated by Prof. Monisha Awasthi, who ensured its smooth and effective execution. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD, who expressed his gratitude to the participants for their active involvement. He also extended his best wishes to the new educators, motivating them to excel in their academic journey and contribute meaningfully to the institution’s vision of quality-centric education.
