Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), Uttaranchal University, in collaboration with OPTA (Observe, Plan, Train, Assess), successfully organized a Workshop on Personal Interviews & Group Discussions. The event aimed to enhance students’ professional skills, confidence, and communication abilities, preparing them for job interviews, leadership roles, and competitive exams.
The workshop commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, faculty members, and expert trainers, who shared valuable insights on recruitment strategies, leadership training, and career development.
Prof (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT, delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the importance of effective communication and interpersonal skills in today’s competitive job market.
The workshop featured an expert panel comprising renowned professionals and industry experts by Col. Raman Arora (Rammy Arrey) – Former Infantry Officer, SSB Assessor, and Leadership Trainer, Col. S. Pande – Ex-SSB Interviewing Officer with extensive experience in conducting over 2,100 interviews, Col. Anupam – Air Defence Missile Regiment expert with over 2,200 candidate assessments as a Senior GTO, Col. I.P.S. Rana – Leadership mentor with specialized training from DIPR, DRDO, Mr. Shashi Shekhar – Ex-Assistant Commandant (AIR 23) and UPSC exam expert, Mr. Saurabh Kumar – English communication trainer and author with 12 years of experience, Adv. Shweta Chaudhary – Founder of Bharat Law, UK LLM graduate, and legal career mentor.
Participants engaged in interactive sessions, mock interviews, and group discussions, gaining practical experience and personalized feedback from experts. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr Madhu Kirola, HoD, CSE by acknowledging the contributions of expert trainers, faculty members, and participants. The workshop proved to be an invaluable opportunity for students, equipping them with essential skills to excel in recruitment processes and professional environments. With this initiative, Uttaranchal University reaffirms its commitment to student success, bridging the gap between academia and industry expectations.
