International Webinar on Fostering Sustainable Family Business. Subtitle: Balancing Tradition & Innovation for Long-Term Success

Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM) at Uttaranchal University, Dehradun conducted an enlightening webinar titled "Fostering Sustainable Family Business. Subtitle: Balancing Tradition & Innovation for Long-Term Success" on 18 February 2025.  

The webinar was inaugurated by Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, who welcomed Dr Chukwuemeka, Director, ICLED Business School Consult in Lagos, Nigeria. He is an eminent business and legal consulting specialist with over 15 years of experience. With a Doctorate degree from University of Liverpool, a master's degree from King's College London and first degree from Cardiff University, United Kingdom. Dr Suri commended Dr Chukwuemeka’s endurance and his capability to guide institutions through hardship, pertinence the relevance of cultivating a robust principled thought process in crafting one's career.

 
Dr Chukwuemeka elaborated on how the family businesses need to foster a culture of innovation that encourages new ideas and the exploration of modern business practices. He has elaborated on the challenge for family businesses which lies in striking the right balance. On one hand, innovation should be integrated into the company’s operations, products, and services. He has highlighted on Tata group’s successful strategy from Tata-Land Rover Motors to TCS. This loyalty can be a powerful asset in periods of uncertainty, providing the resilience needed to navigate challenges.  
The seminar culminated with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Tilottama Singh, Head of the Department, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University. She conveyed her sincere gratitude to Dr Chukwuemeka for his insightful and enriching discourse and appreciated the students for their active and enthusiastic participation.
