Under the umbrella of Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, Uttaranchal University Department of Commuter Science & Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering & Aerospace Engineering jointly inaugurated a five- day Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) for distinguished department Faculties & Research scholars on the topics “Technology & Sustainability: Bridging Gaps with Blockchain, AI and Cloud Computing” & “Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Techniques for Sustainable Engineering Applications” from 9 January 2025 to 13 January 2025. The aim of FDPs was to provide hands-on some of the software dealing with Blockchain, AI and Cloud Computing as well as help in spreading awareness and motivating among the participants to conduct research in the field of Blockchain, AI, and Cloud Computing on the other hand side FDP on the topic “Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Techniques” focus on for a better future & sustainable development. Both FDPs aims is to how emerging technologies such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud Computing can address challenges in sustainability and empowering participants to design and develop sustainable engineering solutions while fostering research and innovation in environmentally responsible practices.
Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice-Chancellor and Prof (Dr) Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT honoured the inaugural ceremony along with Special guest Prof (Dr) Mayank Aggarwal, HoD CSE, Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar & Dr Ashok Kumar Ahuja, Retired IIT Roorkee.
The resource persons for the FDP sessions were Prof (Dr) Mayank Aggarwal, (Dr) Amit Thakur, Dr Pallav Gupta, Mr Baeju Kumar. The FDP was coordinated by Dr Madhu Kirola HoD, CSE, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Joshi, HoD ME, Dr Sachin Shrivastav, HoD AE & Mr Gaurav Thakur, HoD CE.
