Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University organized a One Day Workshop Cum Training Programme on “Legal Research through Online Legal Database by Manupatra” on 20 November 2024. Mr Amarendra Singh from Manupatra was present as the Resource person on the occasion in which more than 450 students of LCD participated and benefited in the workshop.
The workshop began with the lighting of the auspicious lamp in the benign presence of Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor and Dean, Prof (Dr) Poonam Rawat, Principal. Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna addressed the students and motivated them to take maximum advantage of the subscribed e-resources. He also insisted the students utilize online resources on a large scale.
The Training program was divided into two sessions focusing on demonstrating the best possible techniques for an effective search. Features like ‘Setting Alert’, creating ‘Search Folders’ Case law by Section, Browse Law reports and Judgments and keeping oneself up to date in the areas of Legal education were also demonstrated to the participants. Mr Muktendra Rawat, Librarian, Law College Dehradun, coordinated the training session.
