The Uttaranchal Institute of Technology successfully inaugurated a five-day Management Development Program (MDP) titled "Leveraging Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for Entrepreneurial Success" from 21 November to 26 November 2024. The program aimed to empower budding entrepreneurs, academicians, and industry professionals with insights into utilizing IPR as a strategic tool for innovation and business growth.
The sessions covered various aspects of IPR, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs, and trade secrets. Discussions emphasized how protecting intellectual property can boost an entrepreneur's competitive edge and ensure sustainable business development.
The MDP was inaugurated by Mr. Pushker Singh Bisht, Assistant Director, DC MSME Haldwani along with Prof Dr Sumit Chaudhary, Director, UIT, Prof Dr Anita Gehlot, Head, Division of Research and Innovation, Dr Madhu Kirola, Head, Computer Science and Engineering, UIT. Mr Pushker Singh Bisht highlighted the importance of IPR in today’s knowledge-driven economy. He stated, “Intellectual Property is the cornerstone of innovation, and leveraging can effectively transform ideas into impactful ventures.”
