Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), Uttaranchal University organized a highly informative workshop on Cyber Security on 10 October 2024. The session was led by Mr. Sanjeev Singh, Manager at KRA&CO, New Delhi, a seasoned expert in the field of cyber security.
Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Director, USCS highlighted the critical importance of cybersecurity in today’s rapidly advancing digital world, stressing how the increasing reliance on technology has made robust cyber defense systems indispensable.
Mr. Singh began with an overview of the current cyber threat landscape, highlighting the increased vulnerability of organizations and individuals to sophisticated cyber-attacks. He shared best practices for securing networks and systems, focusing on the importance of regular updates, multi-factor authentication, and robust encryption protocols.
The workshop ended with a certificate distribution ceremony, where participants were recognized for their active participation and successful completion of the session.
Under the guidance of Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD, USCS event was successfully coordinated by Mr. Sanjay Mishra and Mr. Nitin Sharma with the support of Ms. Manisha Saini and Ms. Manisha Khanduja.
