A Webinar on “Unlocking Your Future: A Career as an Analyst”

The Alumni cell of Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, Uttaranchal University organized a webinar on "Unlocking Your Future: A Career as an Analyst," on 18 October 2024 featuring Samiya Siddiqui, an alumnus of B Sc IT, batch 2017-20 who is currently working as an Assistant Manager at Deloitte. The objective was to provide a place for alumni to share their expertise to nurture young minds for their long-term growth. 

The event commenced with a welcome address by Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Director, USCS. In her talk, Ms Samiya highlighted the importance of analytical skills, problem-solving, and adaptability in the ever-evolving tech landscape. She discussed the impact of data analytics, AI, and automation, encouraging students to learn about tools like Excel, SQL, and Power BI. 

 

The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD, USCS. The event was coordinated by Mr Praveen Shah with the support of Mr Abhishek Kumar Pathak, Assistant Director Online Program, Uttaranchal University, Ms Manisha Saini, Assistant Professor, USCS, Ms Manisha Khanduja, Assistant Professor, USCS and student volunteers.
