Law College Dehradun celebrated Raksha Bandhan at ITBP headquarters at Seema Dwar on 16 August 2024. Prof (Dr) Poonam Rawat, Principal, LCD stated that Project Rakshak was called under the aegis of the Rotaract Club on 26 July 2024, on Kargil Vijay Diwas to sensitize youth towards the sacrifice of our Security Forces. Teachers and students, including the Vice President of the Governing Committee of the University, Mrs Anuradha Joshi, and Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice President, University collected Rakhis and messages and sent to the ITBP soldiers.
Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna Pro Vice- Chancellor sent a group of 28 girl students to the ITBP Headquarters under the leadership of the President of the Rotaract Club, Mr Amit Chaudhary. I G Northern Frontier Headquarters, Dehradun Shri Sanjay Gunjiyal IPS was the chief guest, while DIG Shri Manu Maharaj, IPS, CO Staff Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh, Commandant Shri Piyush Pushkar, Assistant Commandant Shri Praveen Kumar were present as special guests. The ITBP officers and soldiers became emotional after reading the messages sent by the female students along with the Rakhis. A parcel of Rakhis was given to be delivered to the soldiers working on the border. Shri Sanjay Gunjiyal said that the students have great enthusiasm and patriotism for the country. He said that such messages given on special occasions not only boost the morale of the soldiers deployed on the border but also make their lives meaningful.
