On 28 August 2024, the Corporate Resource Centre of Uttaranchal University, in collaboration with Uttaranchal Institute of Management, organized an insightful session at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Uttaranchal University. The session featured Mr. Raxit Bisht, Vice President at ProcMart, as the esteemed guest speaker, who provided invaluable insights to the students on navigating the corporate world. 

The event commenced with a warm welcome and felicitation to the speaker by Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director of Uttaranchal Institute of Management. The formal proceedings began with the University anthem, 'Kulgeet,' setting a tone of pride and unity among the attendees. 

In his address, Mr Bisht urged students to maintain focus and encouraged them not to hesitate when applying for job openings. He emphasized the importance of embracing failures as learning opportunities, stressing that resilience and personal growth are key to overcoming challenges. Mr. Bisht also highlighted the necessity of being adaptable and ready to work in diverse roles, as flexibility is crucial in the dynamic corporate landscape. Additionally, Mr. Bisht provided insights into current industry trends, focusing on sustainability, the growth of the manufacturing sector, the AI revolution, and the increasing significance of data analytics. His analysis offered students a comprehensive understanding of the future directions of various industries and the skills required to excel in them. 

The session concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr Rekha Verma, Associate Professor, UIM, who expressed gratitude to Mr Raxit Bisht for his time and valuable insights, as well as to all those involved in organizing the successful event. A special appreciation was extended to Mr Arun Godiyal, Director, Corporate Resource Centre, Uttaranchal University, for his instrumental role in facilitating this session and his ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
