A visit to Herbal Garden

Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun organised an Herbal Garden, Museum and Botanical Garden visit for students of B Pharm II year and D Pharm I year at Forest Research Institute (FRI) Dehradun on 29 August 2024. 

The educational visit was organised to encourage and educate students about the use of various medicinal plants, to identify the species of different herbal plants, and to understand the morphological characterization. It will help students authenticate and identify various herbal plants and their biological sources, medicinal benefits etc. This initiative of promoting herbal garden visits helps them to recognize the value of herbal plants in our lives. 

 

This visit was conducted under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS. The visit was coordinated by Mrs Sadhna Rawat, Ms Shalini Kumari and Mr Krishna Kumar, Assistant Professor, Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
