Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, Uttaranchal University organized a seminar on Prospective of Higher Studies at International Universities in collaboration with IDP Education India Pvt. Ltd on 29 August 2024 with the aim to provide valuable insights and guidance regarding pursuing higher education opportunities abroad. The speakers for the event were Mr Ajit Singh Fleming College, Ms. Esha Singh Ontario Tech University, Mr. Anirudh George Brown College from Canadian Universities and Mr Ankur Gusain Strategic Alliances IDP Education India Pvt. Ltd.
Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Director USCS, encouraged students to engage actively, ask questions, and make the most of the insights shared by the representatives. She emphasized that studying abroad is about embracing new experiences and perspectives that enrich both personal and professional growth.
During the seminar, representatives highlighted the benefits of studying in Canada, including practical learning, research opportunities, strong industry connections, and various support services for students. They also emphasized job opportunities in nearby cities, allowing students to gain valuable work experience while studying.
More than 150 students from various departments participated in the seminar, showing great enthusiasm and interest in exploring opportunities for higher studies abroad. To ensure maximum student engagement, special counselling desk were set up for the IDP experts, allowing students to interact directly and gather personalized information about higher studies in the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, and Ireland, all under one roof.
The event was successfully coordinated by Ms Manisha Saini, Ms Manisha Khanduja and Mr Harshit Gupta with the support of students and technical staff.
