Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences (USCS), Uttaranchal University, Dehradun completed a one-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Data Analytics using Python” in association with ICT Academy starting from 08th July 2024. The program featured a distinguished Data Analyst from Agra, Mr Saksham Arya as the expert speaker.
The program was graced with the presence of the President of the University Shri Jitender Joshi Ji, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma Dean, USCS.
Prof Sonal Sharma emphasized the importance of continuous learning and professional development, encouraging participants to leverage the FDP to improve their data analytics skills using Python. She appreciated to the faculty members from other colleges of Uttarakhand for their enthusiastic participation in the FDP.
During this FDP participant gained hands-on experience with Python libraries. The key takeaways from this FDP program were case study-based practical approach to analyse the dataset using various libraries of Python. All the dignitaries congratulated the USCS department for its exceptional efforts in providing comprehensive training for faculty, significantly enhancing education and research quality at the institution.
The FDP was successfully coordinated by Dr Monisha Awasthi, Ms Manisha Saini, Ms Manisha Khanduja, Mr Praveen Shah, Mr Yogesh Juyal and Ms Divya Rawat and technical staff under the guidance of Dr Sameer Dev Sharma. At last, certificates of completion were awarded to the attendees, recognizing their active participation and successful completion of the program.
