Uttaranchal University celebrates Founder's Day with an expression of Thankfulnes

The birthday of Shri Jitender Joshi, the founder and President of Uttaranchal University, was celebrated as Founder's Day at the university. The theme of this year’s Founder’s Day was 'Expression of Gratitude'. On this occasion, unprecedented enthusiasm was seen among the teachers, students, officers, and employees of the university. As soon as Shri Joshi ji reached the main gate of the university, many students from India and abroad studying here welcomed him with bouquets and colorful balloons. The students presented handmade greeting cards and flowers. The students expressed their gratitude by releasing hundreds of balloons in the sky. Shri Joshi ji was escorted by the students while they were playing guitar, dancing, and reciting Birthday songs and made a cheerful aura on the entire premises of the University.

Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice President, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice- Chancellor and Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor welcomed him by giving him a bouquet and congratulated him on his birthday and expressed their gratitude towards him.

On this occasion, a cultural program was organized in the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium of the University. Former students working in the country and abroad sent their online messages, along with congratulating him on Founder's Day, expressing their gratitude that Mr. Joshi ji played a special role in building their future. A few students and teachers performed dance, sang melodious songs and recited self-written Poems.

At the end, Mrs Anuradha Joshi, Vice Chairperson, Sushila Devi Centre for Professional Studies & Research, Vice President, and Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice- Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Abhishek Joshi, Executive Director, Student Affairs and IT Services, Shri Jagdish Joshi, Executive Director, Planning and Development by cutting the cake. Shri Jitender Joshi got emotional and mentioned that he did various professions in his life in which he earned a lot of money but the reality is that there is no comparison to working in the field of education. Along with earning money in the work of education, there is no dearth of respect and self-satisfaction. He said that I am proud and satisfied that in my life I got the privilege of becoming the medium of building the future of thousands of children and becoming the head of hundreds of employees of my university family.

On this occasion, Dr Anuj Rana, Registrar, Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Prof (Dr) Poonam Rawat, Prof (Dr) S D Pandey, Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh, Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Prof (Dr) Vikas Jakhmola, Prof (Dr) M P Singh, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Singh, Dr Kartikey, Dr Manish Badoni, Dr Ramveer Tanwar, Mr Iqbal Singh Sahni, Mr K B Pokhriyal along with a large number of university employees and students were present.

The program was coordinated by Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, the Dean Student Welfare at the University.
