Women cell of Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences under the aegis of Women cell Uttaranchal University on the occasion of International Women’s Day organizes an expert talk on 6th March 2024 on MTP, PCPNDT and Health Consequences of Non Traditional Sexuality. The guest for the talk was Ms. Liny Babu, CAO of Rescue Trust Mysore who gave an eye opener session to the students as well as faculty members about the concept of MTP and discussed about the different diagnostic techniques. She also gave a light on Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act of Parliament of India enacted to stop female foeticides and arrest the gender declination ratio in India which is an actual need of today.
The talk was very informative and all the people who were present in the event get aware about the topic which can ultimately raise the knowledge among the society around them. The event was organized by Mrs. Jyotsana Suyal Member of Women Cell, Uttaranchal University and co-ordinated by Ms. Yogita Ale & Ms. Shalu Verma. The organizer thanked to Dr. Vikash Jakhmola, Dean UIPS for supporting to conduct this awareness program.
