Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun organised an Industrial visit to Himalaya Wellness Company, Dehradun, Uttarakhand on 06 March 2024 Total of 100 students of B Pharm I year visited the company. The visit was organized on “National Pharmacy Education Day”.
The objective of the visit was to “Leveraging Synergism” and give students insight into how companies operate. Mr Jahangir interacted with the students and explained the working culture of the industry. During the visit, the students visited the production unit, QA, QC, packaging unit, and warehouse department of the industry under the guidance of the unit head. They were explained about “pharmaceuticals, personal care, baby care, well-being, nutrition, and animal health products".
Students also interacted with the pharmaceutical industry another department to understand different departments and processes of pharma industries with novel approaches. The visit proved to be extremely beneficial for the students as it provided information about the whole manufacturing process of the different dosage forms, and they very closely interacted with the experts and learned some technical handling of the Herbal formulation during manufacturing and packaging.
