A Seminar on Stock Market Simulation

The Fintech Club at Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University orchestrated a compelling Seminar on "Stock Market Simulation" on February 15, 2024, catering to students (MBA, BBA & BCom) and faculty members of the institution. Distinguished speakers and advisers, Dr Karminder Ghuman, Co-Founder of B School Bulls, and Mr Raj Santra, COO of B School Bulls, graced the event. 

  

The session commenced with Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean of UIM, underscoring the significance of leveraging technology to enhance understanding and proficiency in Stock Market Simulation. He emphasized the importance of practical experience in real-world scenarios for students. 

  

Financial experts Dr Karminder Ghuman and Mr Raj Santra shared invaluable insights into managing the stock market through simulation and gamification. They elucidated on using stock simulators as learning tools for beginners to grasp market dynamics without risking capital. Additionally, they emphasized the importance of skill development through simulation and gamification, focusing on virtual financial trading and honing advisory abilities. 

  

The session included a tutorial on simulator applications, covering aspects such as banking industry stock analysis, SWOT analysis, technical and fundamental analysis, and creating investment portfolios. Students actively engaged in the learning process, posing queries regarding core stock market knowledge and risk mitigation strategies.
