Noble Initiative organised by Globe Club, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University

 

Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Globe Club, hosted a compassionate event "Ek Kapda Daan" on November 09, 2023, in the UIM Foyer. The heart of this initiative lies in its name, "One Cloth Donation," symbolizing the profound impact that a single act of kindness can have on the lives of those enduring the harsh cold without adequate clothing. 

Distinguished dignitaries, Honourable Chancellor, Mr. Jitender Joshi, Vice President Dr. Satbir Sehgal, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Rajesh Bahuguna, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dharam Buddhi and President Jai Youth wing Shri Nityanand Swami Mr. Vinayal Sharma Swami known for their dedication to noble causes, graced the occasion with their presence. Their participation was a witness to their shared commitment to this philanthropic endeavour. In a heart-warming moment, Chancellor Sir addressed the audience, expressing appreciation for taking such a noble initiative and emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in creating a positive impact. Furthermore, Mr.Vinayak Sharma congratulated the organizers, acknowledging the event’s potential to encourage act of kindness in our society. this They took part in distributing donated clothes to the underprivileged, underscoring our collective mission to provide relief to those in need. 

The event presented a unique and significant opportunity for our community to unite with a shared purpose. It underlined the importance of coming together to alleviate the suffering of the less fortunate, particularly as the winter season approached. The sense of unity and compassion in the room was palpable, leaving an indelible mark on all those in attendance. 

Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM, extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to the audience in his opening address. His words resonated with the attendees, emphasizing the significance of the event and the power of collective action in bringing about positive change. Dr. Tilottama Singh, HoD, eloquently delivered a gracious vote of thanks at the end of the session, expressing gratitude to all those who had contributed to the success of this impactful event.
