Eight-Day FDP on Holistic Mental Health & Digital Innovation

July 31,2026    School of Liberal Arts organized Eight-Day Faculty Development Programme on “Holistic Mental Health, Digital Innovation, and Multidisciplinary Pedagogy: Advancing Inclusive and Sustainable Higher Education”. 


The School of Liberal Arts, Uttaranchal University, successfully organised an online eight-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) from 23rd July to 30th July, 2026 on the theme “Holistic Mental Health, Digital Innovation, and Multidisciplinary Pedagogy: Advancing Inclusive and Sustainable Higher Education”. The FDP aimed to explore the relevance of digital innovation, SDGs and interdisciplinary research in higher education.   


The inaugural session commenced with a virtual lamp lighting. Professor (Dr.) Kartikey, Director, School of Liberal Arts, Uttaranchal University, delivered the inaugural address and welcomed the participants, emphasising the importance of holistic mental health, digital innovation, and multidisciplinary pedagogy to enhance inclusivity in higher education. Following his address, Professor (Dr.) Reeta Rautela Head of the Department, introduced the keynote speakers to the participants. 


The event featured various speakers, including Dr Hiranmoy Roy, Ms Pooja Jaiswal, Dr Amaresh Jha, Dr B.K. Jha, Dr Shinu Vig, Mr Anil Kumar Bharti, Dr Laxmi Priya, Dr Gopal Krishna, Dr Subin Mathew, Prof. Radhey Shyam Jha, Dr Anupama Arya, Er. Rajesh Deorari, Dr Manisha Sharma, and Dr Shagufta Praveen. The speakers discussed a range of topics such as sustainable higher education, psychological interventions, teaching and assessment in the AI Era, digital humanities, integration of SDGs, mental health in media, inclusive education, artificial intelligence’s impact on well-being, innovative hospital management, ethics in counselling, interdisciplinary research, and digital innovation in health and pedagogy. The valedictory session provided an opportunity to reflect on the key learnings and outcomes of the FDP. The program report was delivered by Dr Nidhi Sharma and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Rati Sood.
