The Physics Department of School of Applied and Life Sciences (SALS), Uttaranchal University organized an educational tour to the "Regional Science Center-Vigyan Dham" on November 8th, 2023. Fifteen students participated in the tour, which was coordinated by Prof. B. S Rawat, Dr. Pankaj S Rawat and Dr. Narinder Kumar.
The purpose of the tour was to enhance the learning experience of students in the B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics and M.Sc. Physics programs and provide them with exposure to the outside world. The students had a valuable experience and gained knowledge that will benefit them in the future. They visited various attractions, including the Science Park, Dino Park, Himalayan Gallery, Frontiers of Technology, Tara Mandal , and a 3D Science show.
In addition to exploring the fascinating exhibits and interactive displays, the educational tour also featured engaging lectures and demonstrations by expert scientists and educators, allowing our students to gain practical insights into the world of physics. The experience served as a bridge between theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom and its real-world applications, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm among the participants for their academic and professional journeys.
