The Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT) women cell community organized a session on "Empowering Women: Legal Perspectives and Research Insights" on 27 October 2023 aimed at spreading awareness for women's empowerment. The event was graced in the presence of esteemed guest Professor Dr Poonam Rawat, Principal, LCD and Prof (Dr) SD Pandey, Dean, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, Prof (Dr) Minakshi Memoria, Head of the Women Cell, all HODs and Faculty members of UIT department.
During the session, Dr Poonam Rawat discussed various laws based on women empowerment under IPC, CrPC, and motivated girl students by stating that no one can make you feel inferior without your consent. Her words were very impactful, powerful and inspiring, leaving a lasting impact on the attendees.
In conjunction with this session, Dr Minakshi Memoria shared valuable information regarding research paper writing. Her insights were greatly appreciated by the attendees, who found her tips and tricks to be extremely helpful.
The session was a great success and helped to promote the importance of women empowerment in society. It served as a reminder that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, and that we all have the power to stand up for ourselves and others.
