An Educational visit was scheduled for the students of B.Sc. Forensic Science and M.Sc. Forensic Science (1st Sem) on 27/10/2023. The students were accompanied by two faculties, Dr Monika and Mr Om Dubey. The educational visit to the Fsic Science Laboratory, Dehradun proved to be captivating for the students and they thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with scientific officers of the laboratory. Students could see real crime scene exhibits like country-made firearms and forged documents. Students also visited the Narcotics, Serology and DNA Fingerprinting divisions. The chemistry division gave exposure to routine examinations of viscera analysis and other major examinations conducted at their end.
The Joint Director Dr. S. K. Sharma explained in detail the role of scientific officer on the judiciary system of Bharat, and he motivated the students to have high moral values and follow above par ethics while working in professional life.
Students and accompanying faculty in the end acknowledged the effort of support staff who gave their valuable time to enrich the knowledge of students.
