The Cultural and Event Committee of Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT-CEC) organized an event to celebrate International Music Day named UIT-Musical Gems. 'UIT-Musical Gems' was a musical extravaganza that took place on 06-10-2023 at Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM) Seminar Hall. The event aimed to celebrate the rich tapestry of musical diversity within the UIT community. The planning and execution of this event were meticulously carried out by UIT-CEC's dedicated committee members. Dr. Bharti Ramola, UU-CEC Chairperson, Prof (Dr) S.D. Pandey, the Dean of UIT, and Dr. Sumit Chaudhary, the Head of the Department of Computer Science Engineering, were the esteemed chief guests for the evening. During the event, the Dean of UIT, Prof (Dr) S.D. Pandey delivered an inspiring speech and shared insights about the importance of cultural events in fostering unity and harmony. The proceedings commenced with the dignified ritual of lamp lighting, symbolizing the beginning of the event. Subsequently, the University Kulgeet, a traditional anthem, was performed, setting a respectful tone for the gathering. At the beginning, a musical video was displayed, highlighting the amazing history of music and the trends and genres of distinct types of music. The event featured a diverse lineup of musical performances, showcasing various genres from classical to contemporary music, including solo song performances, beatboxing, rap, and group performances. Interactive sessions through musical quizzes between musical acts were also organized to keep the audience engaged. Prof. (Dr.) Bharti Ramola shared inspiring words, encouraging the participants and attendees to pursue their passions and talents with dedication and enthusiasm. At the end of the session, a vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Sakshi Koli (UIT-CEC Coordinator) to express heartfelt gratitude to all participants, guests, and organizers, acknowledging their efforts in making the event a memorable success."
