Women Cell, Uttaranchal University Under the aegis of Women Cell, Uttaranchal College of Heath Sciences in collaboration with Women Cell, Uttaranchal College of Nursing organized expert talk on “Women Reproductive Health”

Uttaranchal College of Health Sciences, Uttaranchal University, in collaboration with Uttaranchal College of Nursing organized an expert talk on “Women’s Reproductive Health” on 29 September 2023. 

The speaker at the event was Dr Satwinder Kaur, certified Garbhsanskar and Beejsanskar coach from Uttaranchal Hospital & Diagnostic Centre. Ms Jagrity Sharma, Women Cell Coordinator from UCN, Ms Nidhi Sharma, Women Cell Coordinator from UCHS, faculty members from UCN & UCHS, and female students from both colleges actively participated in the talk.  

The expert speaker, Dr Satwinder Kaur provided an overview of the female reproductive system, menstrual cycle, reproductive health and its impact on women’s health. She discussed the importance of maintaining proper menstrual hygiene practices like using sanitary napkins and hygiene routine. In addition, emphasis was laid on the common reproductive health issues prevailing among women and their impact on overall well-being. She encouraged all to adopt healthy lifestyle habits, guiding them towards proper and timely utilization of health facilities.  

The event concluded with a call to action for girls to prioritize their reproductive health and seek support and resources for managing challenges related to it. 

An interactive Q&A session was conducted at the end of the talk, where girls got an opportunity to address questions and seek clarification on various addressed concerns. A vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Jagrity Sharma, marking the event’s conclusion. The event was duly coordinated by Ms Jagrity Sharma, Women Cell Coordinator, UCN, and Ms Nidhi Sharma, Women Cell Coordinator, UCHS.
