A 2-day Intra University Cricket Tournament ‘Cricket Bashers’ was organized by the School of Liberal Arts, under the aegis of the Office of Dean Student Welfare, Uttaranchal University from 29-30 September 2023. A total of 12 teams from various schools enrolled and participated in the tournament.
The Tournament was inaugurated by Shri Jitender Joshi, the Hon’ble Chancellor, Prof (Dr) SS Sehgal, Vice-President, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Dean SLA & Student Welfare, and the Deans/Directors/Principals of various departments by cutting the ribbon.
It was conducted in a series of Knock Out Match and a total of 10 matches played. The Final Match on the second day of the Tournament was played between UCN and UIM wherein UCN won the Tournament.
The competition was fierce, and the audience was passionately involved as they witnessed competitive and skillful teams match off in each inning. The event was concluded by praising the enthusiasm of the students. The teams were congratulated for their participation and hard work which motivated them to better performance in the future.
Mr Saneet Kumar, Sports Coordinators of SLA, under the guidance of Dr Shravan Kumar, Dean SLA & Student Welfare, coordinated the event.
