Uttaranchal University Mechanical Engineering Club- UUMEC organised Boat Race- Remote Controlled under the aegis of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), Uttaranchal University, Dehradun on 25 September 2023 with a big cheer and applaud.
The event was inaugurated by Dean, UIT, Prof (Dr) S D Pandey. The event tested the engineering skills of the students on the domains of Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulic Machines and Designing of Machine Systems along with their understanding of Material Selections for Boats.
Students participated from all the branches of engineering and 10 Teams were formed. Vikas Kumar Singh & Ayush Kumar from B Tech [CSE] First year of team ‘Varunsatra’ stood Winners while Aditya Bhanj student of B Tech [ME] of team ‘Flying Lady’ stood runners up of the event. The winners were provided with Prizes by Dr Sanjeev Kumar Joshi Head, Mechanical Engineering Department. The events were organized by Dr Ruby Pant & Mr Saurabh Aggarwal, Assistant Professor, ME, UIT.
Prof (Dr) Satbir Singh Sehgal, Vice President, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor congratulated the students for their efforts and showcase of engineering understanding.
