CRC Club, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organised an Industrial Visit to Dainik Jagran, Printing Unit, Dehradun for MBA First Year students on 28 August 2023 to provide them with practical insights into the functioning of various industries. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge gained in classrooms and real-world applications in the industrial environ ment.
Mr. Paramjeet Singh, Senior Manager, CRC, Uttaranchal University, Mr. Bipin Kandpal, CRC Coordinator, UIM were the coordinators of the visit which was proposed and guided by Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM.
The objective of the visit was to make the students aware about the print media and its functioning at various domains of production, marketing, and distribution and enhance students' understanding of the practical aspects of management concepts.
The group was welcomed by Mr. S.D. Pandey, Production Engineer of the printing press. First, he briefed us about the company, its vision, mission, and its products. Thereafter, students were escorted by him to the main printing unit. The students were given a guided visit to different sections like print modules, print machinery, raw materials section etc.
Finally, the students were invited for queries, wherein a dedicated question-and-answer session was held, allowing students to clarify their doubts directly with the professionals and they aptly answered them all. Students were elated by the visit.
