An Industrial Visit to Zara Footwear Pvt. Ltd, Dehradun was organized by CRC Club, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, for MBA First Year students on 23 August 2023. Mr. Bipin Kandpal, Head CRC Club, UIM coordinated the visit which was proposed and guided by Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM.
The objective of the visit was to make the students aware about the manufacturing process, distribution, and marketing of the organization’s products. To make the students industry ready.
The group was welcomed by Mr. Shafiullah Khan and Mr. Razaullah Khan, Directors of the Industry. First, they briefed us about the company, its vision, mission, and its products. Thereafter, students were escorted by the directors himself to various production units. They also briefed about idea behind establishment of the company. Thereafter the students were guided to various sections of the plant where students observed raw material processing, manufacturing, and packaging of footwears. He also shared the fact that the production unit is receiving heavy demand of the footwears from the distributors and marketers.
Finally, he invited queries from the student’s end. Many students raised their queries and he responded to them aptly and with proper details. Students were elated by this practical exposure.
