Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organized a guest lecture on "Dining Etiquette." on 24 August 2023. Dr. Tillotama Singh, HoD, UIM, extended a warm welcome to Mr. Manish Badoni Principal, Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management, acknowledging the significance of dining etiquette in the hospitality industry. Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM, presented plant sapling to Mr. Badoni as a symbol of appreciation and ecological consciousness.
Mr. Manish Badoni, Principal, Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management, discussed the significance of dining etiquette and how important it is to all facets of life, including our professional lives. Discussions, deals, and negotiations have often failed due to improper etiquette.
Beginning the session, Mr. Badoni stressed the value of dining manners and setting manners in the business world. He discussed proper dining etiquette, including how to use the cutlery and napkins, proper dining attire, laws pertaining to the safety of food. Using numerous examples, he taught students why using proper dining manners and advice on how to act at the dining table will help them stand out as polished professionals during interviews and in social business settings.
During the Q&A period, Mr. Manish Badoni responded to all of the inquiries from the students. The lecture was instructive and gave tips on how to behave when dining. At the end, the vote of Thanks was proposed by Mr. Rohit Dhiman, Assistant Professor, UIM.
